+Infinitum+ is a self-strategy tool that allows users to visualize their goals and materialize the trajectory that will eventually lead them to their goals.The visual space, inspired by Rama Chorplast’s talk at GSA, is comprised of a “race track” with bands of different colours. These different colours represent different categories of the user’s life.The reusable board allows users to make any changes to their plans as they see fit. This greatly increases the life cycle of the tool and the tool itself becomes personal to the user.Using magnet board pieces, users can easily amend any unforeseen obstacles and opportunities to their plans.By using the ‘goal’ pieces, users can easily visualize the phase in their lives.

This work represents the development and use of methodologies that serve to engage a hard to reach user-group. The outcome of these interactions revealed insightful information about the physical and psychological effects of drug use on both the immediate experience and the long term development of an individual entrenched in hard substance abuse. The value of this information lies in its potential to inform the physical environment of a facility that meets the specific needs of this user group.
