Digital Output Centre

As our traditional educational models are evolving in response to COVID-19, so too is the Digital Output Centre. We are taking every step to safely support student, staff and faculty printing needs. We appreciate email inquiries and we are making an assertive effort to respond to them as quickly as possible.

At Emily Carr University’s Digital Output Centre (DOC), students, staff, and faculty can submit digital files for output at a reasonable cost to several different devices: wide format inkjet and toner printers, colour and black & white laser printers, and a vinyl cutter. High resolution scanning services are also available.

The DOC is a resource for both individuals and classes by contributing to the understanding and proficiency in document creation, print preparation and colour accuracy/management. In order to assist file preparation, there is one colour calibrated workstation for final adjustments of files.

The DOC is located in room C4230 and your access card (OneCard) is needed to enter this room. Carlos Mendes and Eduardo Rodriguez are the resident Studio Technicians available to guide you through the process of preparing and submitting files for output. You can contact them by email at
