Teachers are Tyrants is a jest of a painting installation. With the politics of the classroom in mind, I set about depicting a tableau of an unlikely protesters rallying against the most fearsome of instructors: Ben Reeves.

This is an image from a film loop wherein I depicted the waxing and waning cycles of the moon by hole-punching the film and manually re-inserting the hole-punch back over the hole, shifting it slowly over the course of 300 frames. This piece was displayed on a Steenbeck while a pianist played Claire De Lune (Debussy) from another room.
