Sanghyun Kim

Samuel Kim is an Interaction Design student in his final year of his degree at Emily Carr. He is a meticulous, detail oriented and creative individual whose passion is in creating interactive playful products and user centered environment that promotes tangible interaction. He has a keen interest in Product Design and Interaction Design. Recently, he has been working with real clients for several months such as Cadillac Fairview and Frame Magazine Publishers.

Although mainly an interaction designer, he had done many mixed media works and paintings and exihibited his works at several juried exhibitions before he entered into the Design program at Emily Carr. In June 2008, he was awarded first place in the category Painting on Paper ‘Into the Depth’ in the annual juried ARTS 2008 exhibition, organized by the Arts Council of Surrey. He also received a junior scholarship from the B.C. Arts Council in 2010.
