    The Zodiac Herb Garden Kit is a first semester grad project. The kit ecourages gardening newbies to get involved in the urban agriculture movement by first growing a personalized indoor herb garden.

    A series of 12, each kit contains the seeds of herbs that have useful properties that are particularly affecting for people of specific star signs. For example, the kit featured here is The Libra Garden and contains Lemon Balm, Bergamot, and Thyme seeds.

    This promotional piece was created for the nonprofit organization MOSAIC, who assist newcomers to Canada through various services. To fundraise and celebrate diversity, each year the organization hosts Festival Mosaic, a night of multicultural theater, dance and music. This interactive print piece illustates different traditional dance forms from around the world.

    A "scientific" maual regarding how to read marriage lines in the palm. The goal of this project was to change the context of the content. I chose to take seemingly unreliable instruction and use typography to apply a sense of scientific truth.

    For this project I took three distinct radio shows/podcasts and transformed them into printed magazines. Each show (The Moth, This American Life, and Radiolab) has a cover and table of contents design, along with an advertisment for radio.

    Door-no-more is a project created by Tevis Bateman and myself. The purpose of this project was to create a wearable or movable device that takes information from an input sensor and performs a function in reaction. We experimented with Lego Mindstorm kits to develop the concept for a device that hypothetically would be installed in vehicles to improve road safety for both drivers and cyclists.

    This was a group project created by Olivia Harrison, Grey Vaisius, Tevis Bateman and myself. The purpose of this project was to create a three dimensional space completely out of cardboard that can be flat-packed and expresses a particular emotion when experienced. Our group decided to work with the emotion of joy because we felt that it was a challenge and we were intrigued by the many varying interpretations possible.

    The goal of this project was to create a pair of sandals made completely from paper, with a minimum 3/4" thick sole, and only fastened with glue. The sandals had to be wearable, functional, and structurally sound. The final product is a custom fit pair of paper sandals that use weaving techniques inspired by leather on the strap and triangular cell structures for the sole.
