Research found that over a third of elementary children were unable to identify fruits and vegetables. As a society, we are very disconnected from our food and where it comes from. The objective of this project is to introduce children to be engaged in understanding more about vegetables through gardening process. In a boarder spectrum, this objective will lead to tickling one of the biggest health concern — obesity.

The final result is an interactive container gardening starter kit containing an illustrated guide book, 4 packet of organic seeds, 1 bag of plant soil and fertilizer, and 4 biodegradable container. While the child watch the whole growing cycle of the vegetable, he/she can visit the online 'Vege 2 Grow World'. In the online platform, children can receive points by playing online games, going through online linear course, or completing jobs (mini games). Since a diary is important in the growing vegetable process, the website also provides a social blogging platform for children to write diaries and share with friends and family.
