An online companion tool for post-secondary creatives, Eddit is designed to replace systems like Moodle & Blackboard that aren't flexible enough for creative learning. Eddit goes beyond typical learning systems by splicing together the 2D & 3D frameworks of studio culture, learning, and sharing within the framework of a digital portfolio. It is built as a series of flexible, nestable grids that can be endlessly reconfigured. For example, it serves as a highly visual resource aggregator that forms a cognitive map of the campus and its resources. Also, it's a content disseminator that provides both linear and non-linear browsing tools; it's even a cross-pollinator that allows students to post projects and ideas for interdisciplinary feedback and exchange. Online learning does not have to be boring; it can be intriguing and beautiful!
