video
description
Interactive poster was the first project of me taking Interaction Design course in 2013. It was a beginning of exploring the meaning of interaction. The goal of this project was to create an interactive poster for Gary Hustwuit’s documentary film “Interactivated”. The poster would be installed and displayed at bus stops in Vancouver. My design solution was to install a digital screen with motion sensors. When motion sensor detect human, the screen would display a outline of the human body filling with words which relate to interaction.

UI, UX Design, Flash Mockup February, 2010 | The Waldorf Hotel, Vancouver BC

After the hotel underwent a major overhaul and reopening in 2010, they developed a brand and marketing strategy getting visitors to their social events, multiple restaurants and of course hotel rooms. Unfortunately it was impossible for visitors to take in the magnitude of information relating to the hotel in just one visit.

Textile waste is currently the third largest contributor to the solid waste stream in Vancouver, amounting to more than 33,600 tonnes a year. In addition, most textiles that are thrown out still have a usable life—which indicates that there is a strong need to shift our thinking to accommodate the sustainable use of textiles in our daily lives.
