The high value we associate with our time is what makes it difficult to explore “wasting” it—also why we split our attention between so many influences, to avoid at all costs any wasted time. It then becomes necessary to actively appreciate the value and importance of rituals, behaviors that strengthen over time, and develop personal formulas for mental discipline—what ratio of time spent “consuming” versus time spent contemplating promotes optimal functioning and richness of thought.

Implicit is a vehicle to explore these states and engage in conversation about authorship (especially when the author is not human—in this case environmental forces), meaning (when it is implied and not overt), as well as connection (how a physical connection fosters and grows an emotional link).
