Neil Wedman is a full-time artist with a 30 year studio practice. Painting stands at the core of his work but he has devoted equal attention to drawings and works on paper including print editions, book-works and photographs.
He occasionally makes short films such as Forget Me (2000), Kane Titanic (2005) and White Album, White Zombie (2010-12).
In January 2012 his exhibition Selected Monochromatic Paintings and Works on Paper Part One opened at the Equinox Gallery in Vancouver. Part Two opens at the Charles H. Scott at ECUAD in Jauary 2013.
Neil Wedman lives and works in Vancouver where he was born and teaches at Emily Carr University and Simon Fraser University.

Judy Davis is an Associate Professor and Dean in the Audain Faculty of Art. She teaches drawing and sculpture. She attended Mills College in California where she received her MFA in sculpture. She has taught at both the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the Alberta College of Art. In collaboration with Dee Horne at the University of Northern British Columbia, Judy designed a joint degree in Studio Arts and Creative Writing with Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
Her practice is idea-based and is manifest across a wide range of materials and techniques.

Sara-Jeanne Bourget was born in Lévis, Québec in 1988. She moved to Montreal to pursue her studies in Fine Arts. In 2015, she obtained her BFA in Studio Arts at Concordia University and later moved to Vancouver to study at Emily Carr University, where she graduated with an MFA (2019). She is currently teaching drawing at Emily Carr University, as a sessional faculty.
In 2016, she took part in residency programs, in Finland, Quebec and Vermont (USA) where she exhibited her work. She received on two occasions (2017 & 2019) grants form the Elizabeth Greenshields foundation in support of her work and pursuit of her studies. In the spring of 2020, her work will be exhibited as the result of a yearlong participation in Leaning Out of Window, a SSHRC founded collaborative project between artists, scholars and physicists from TRIUMF (Canada's national particle accelerator centre). She is the recipient of the Studio Residency Award at Griffin Art Projects, taking place from August to December 2019.

DRWG 208: Studio: Materials/Techniques
This course provides students with a sustained block of studio time and offers individualized instruction. Enables students to develop skills and ideas by exploring objective, subjective and conceptual approaches to a variety of materials, tools and techniques. Projects include working from the life model, from studio installations, engaging in historical research and creating work concerning politics and/or socio-economic issues, etc. The goal of the curriculum is to encourage each student to develop a body of independent work in order to advance to more self-directed courses at the 300 level. Discussions and individual/group critiques develop critical and analytical skills. . The curriculum may be supplemented with slide/video/computer presentations and field trips.
