In collaboration with Bjorn Krogvig, BS-1 was designed for mulled wine and sangria - beverages that are so much more than a liquid. People gather together, share drunks, and exchange conversation. The BS-1 can store hot or cold liquids and maintain their temperature. A soapstone base regulates the temperature while the cork surrounding the enamel pot insulates the liquid. The BS-1 allows the communal drinking experience to be a prolonged interaction.

This is a material exploration project in collaboration with Andrew Chow. We wanted coffee-drinkers to have a direct connection with the coffee they are drinking. We explored a myriad of materials to create a biodegradable coffee cup out of coffee grounds.

For the class new wood material, we were researching and experienmenting with new ways to work with wood. Our intention was to create a carbon fibre woven-like material using wood and natural binders. We then applied this fabric over a mold to create a three dimensional form
