description
Lock is a table designed with simplicity, integrity, disassembly at it’s heart. This table, made of Alder, measures 29” tall x 39” wide x 70” long, and has no hardware or fasteners attaching the legs to the table top. Despite the lack of traditional connective hardware, it its extremely rigid and can be dismantled or assembled in under a minute by one person, with no tools needed. The connection between the top and the legs is made through inter locking elements, and maintained by a friction fit spacer piece. Lock’s size, integrity, contemporary design, and the ease of it’s assemble/tear-down would make it a strong solution for temporary or pop-up community spaces.

A systematic evaluation of the 9 x 10 foot space and the user's needs allowed our design team to effectively retain the 90 square feet of floor space.
