The Charles H. Scott Gallery is pleased to present Nonetheless, a solo exhibition of new work by Vancouver-based artist Elspeth Pratt.

Pratt’s sculptural works use common building or household materials to engage complex ideas of architecture and social space. Her choice of materials questions ideas of value and permanence associated with sculpture, while her treatment of subject matter negotiates the line between abstraction and representation.

The Charles H. Scott Gallery is pleased to present evening all afternoon, a solo exhibition by Vancouver-based artist Andrew Dadson (03). Made up of photographs, drawings, and sculpture, Dadson, using the monochrome, investigates concerns around boundaries in relation to architectural space and the representation of the void in suburban landscape. He applies the monochrome in unconventional ways to address larger themes of world politics, religion, and love.

The launch will be held at the READ bookstore in the Charles H. Scott Gallery. October 20th from 2-5pm. The Charles H. Scott Gallery and Emily Carr Institute are pleased to announce the launch of READ Edition 1, a fundraising print portfolio published by the Emily Carr Institute Press (ECI Press). The portfolio features works by Fiona Banner, Dan Graham, Brian Jungen, Myfanwy MacLeod, Jonathan Monk, Shannon Oksanen, Peter Piller, Frances Stark, Michael Stevenson and Ron Terada.
