S3D Centre Meetup | S3D Production and Post Workflow

The S3D Centre at Emily Carr, in partnership with Genesis Matrix Video, presents our inaugural Meetup for the Vancouver film and television community S3D Production and Post Workflow.

This Meetup will focus on an easy to use stereo 3D rig with three unique camera setups. Come discuss the practical and conceptual considerations involved in S3D productions from a low or indie budget perspective. Ron Steinberg of Amaya Foto will demo the Genus Hurricane 3D Rig, one of the best light-weight beam-splitter rig solutions on the market. Attendees will have the opportunity to see three Hurricane setups in action (SI-2K, Sony EX3, Canon T3i). As well, S3D post-production workflow, data management will also be covered.

The On Edge readings series presents Ray Hsu and Nikki Reimer.

Ray Hsu is author of Anthropy (Nightwood Editions, 2004, winner of the Gerald Lampert Award) and Cold Sleep Permanent Afternoon (Nightwood, 2010). He has published over 125 poems in over 40 journals internationally. Ray spent two years teaching writing to incarcerated men in a US prison and currently teaches at UBC, where he collaborates across disciplines, districts and dinner tables.
