Invitation to artists to exhibit their work in the Zack Gallery.

Call to artists for our spring Festival Ha’Rikud in celebration of Israel at 70, on the theme of Israeli Music through the years.

This is an unjuried call to artists of all levels who would like to participate in a group show in celebration of Festival Ha’Rikud at the Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery at the Jewish Community Centre:

Animation sessional faculty + alumnus Julian Lawrence has recently had is 'academicomic' published in the Journal of Cultural Research in Art Education (JCRAE), which you can link to from here.

Along with teaching at ECU, Julian researches comic books in education. Over the past couple of years, he's authored and co-authored a number of academic coms (hence the term, 'academicomic') whereby his research findings are output and presented as comics.

Alumna Kristina Fiedrich (MAA '12) is the recipient of Gallery 295's 2016 Emerging Curator Exhibition. Her exhibition Spectral Transmissions features the works of Annie Briard (MAA '13 and sessional faculty), Deborah Edmeades, and Emiliano Sepulveda.

Centre Georges Pompidou recently commissioned Associate Professor, Patrik Andersson, to write catalogue text for the exhibition Niki de Saint Phalle at the Grand Palais, Paris and Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao.
