Parallel Lives A Graphic Biography

description

With the combination of global usage of the internet and the constantly growing popularity of social media and platforms, the way people read and learn about one another has drastically changed over the last ten years. Xood

description

The Xood (pronounced zood) is a customizable alternative to traditional rainwear. Designed and sewn by myself, it is made out of waterproof nylon and fleece fabric. The idea being that it can be used alone or along with other outdoor garments in order to further protect oneself from 'unpredictable' elements of weather. It is reversible and can be worn on the waterproof or soft fleece side in many different ways depending on how the user is feeling. Taken from the idea of the traditional raincoat in the book 'Evocative objects' my idea came from wanting to get away from the bulkiness of a raincoat and redesign it altogether. I came up with the Xood that can be fully functional against the weather elements or worn simply as a fashion statement.
