  • Conversations in Typography
    2012

    For this project we were asked to reformat an article about typography. After reading it I created 3 different creative directions to recreate this article into book form. I chose an avant garde, coffee book format, this was to add a hint of campyness and nostalgia to an older body of type. The blue was to represent a more retro feel and the type choices were Mrs.Eaves san seriff and Baskerville to play up the campyness.

  • Rethinking Soft Product: The Back Pack

    For this project we were asked to take apart an article of clothing or other soft product, then we appropriate that pattern and remake it. The pattern taken from the original was altered to recreate an original design. 

  • Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind Rebrand

    I was given the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind non-profit organization to rebrand. I rethought the image content and meaning and created a new message to represent the brand, "Team work for Life". I replaced the large maple leaf and guidedog team with a simple guide dog head with a handler's hand as the ear. This represents the close working relationship between dog and owner.   • Fridge Friends

     There is a growing concern for childhood obesity as it can lead to diabetes, joint problems, high blood pressure and cholesterol. Statistic canada states that 1 in 4 children are obese. Based on this growing concern I started my project looking into nutrition for children. I wanted to create a better relationship between child and fresh produce, and this became my goal.   • Nimby
    2011

    Nimby was created as a safety device for children. He helps children cross the street using simple interactive actions. When you press his little left hand his cheeks glow red. This is to remember to stop before you cross the road. If you press his little right hand his eyes go back and forth. This is to remember to look both ways before crossing the road. Nimby was meant to be a comfort while staying safe on the go!
