Cultural Agent Student Exhibition | Concourse Gallery

"Cultural agents are individuals of a particular community, and contribute to their collective culture. Both human animals and non-human animals are cultural agents because both live within their own parameters of culture.

Fabrications: A Textile Show

This textile-themed student exhibit weaves together a wide range of student works from all disciplines, and includes a fashion show, yarn-bombing and an on-site skills-sharing studio.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being: Grand Opening of MEXICO Fest 2009 Exhibition of Contemporary Art

The Unbearable Lightness of Being, is a group exhibition by contemporary Mexican artists living in Canada exploring different concepts of Identity. Artists included in the exhibition are: Alex Gonzalez, Davide Merino, Jesus Gonzalez and Miriam Aroeste.

Drawing a [ ]

Drawing a [   ] will feature the work of the 89 young artists in Emily Carr's Summer Institute for Teens. The students have been immersed in full-time study at Emily Carr for the month of July, in specializations from Drawing + Painting, to Aboriginal Arts, to Digital Comics. Check out the Summer Institute's Blog and see the students at work behind-the-scenes. 

Drawing a [   ] opens on Thursday July 30, and continues until August 7. The Concourse Gallery is open from 9 am - 5 pm daily.
