Air Canada Magazine: Anselmo Swan
Emily Carr University of Art + Design alumnus Anselmo Swan (92) work is featured in the November issue of Air Canada's enRoute magazine. Swan's photo realistic images of food was selected for Air Canada's in-flight magazine article Food Trends 2009 - The scoop on restaurant trends across Canada, because it "...brings food to still life".

Barb Choit (00) presents her first solo gallery show at the Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York.
Adrian Livesley | Brilliant Trees
Adrian Livesley (96) presents his first solo gallery show at the Petley Jones Gallery, Vancouver.
Since graduating, Livesley has travelled to diverse settings around the world including Finland, Ireland, Cyprus, Mexico and rural British Columbia, to paint directly from the surrounding visual environment.
"My approach to working from landscape has been the same, regardless of where I find myself. I am interested in finding vividly expressive forms and working them into a cohesive image," he says.
Gareth Moore's "Neither Here Nor There" Purchased By Tate Modern
Emily Carr University of Art + Design alumnus Gareth Moore (04) has enjoyed great success at London's Frieze Art Fair.
Moore's installation, Neither Here Nor There was purchased by the Tate Modern, where it will be displayed along with other recently-acquired works. Moore was represented at the Fair by Berlin gallery, Lüttgenmeijer.

Abraham Rogatnick’s involvement with the Emily Carr University of Art and Design (formerly, the Vancouver School of Art) spanned over five decades.
Sean Raggett | National Portrait Gallery, London
Sean Raggett's (04) large format photograph Queen's Woods has been chosen to appear in this year's Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize show at the National Portrait Gallery (NPG), London.
The photograph was chosen from a pool of 6,300 entries, and is Raggett's second accepted entry to show at the NPG.
