Here is There is Here
description
Here is There is Here is a series of four drawings specifically constructed for display at the Aberdeen Canada Line Station in Richmond, BC. Commissioned by the City of Richmond Public Art Program for the No. 3 Road Columns Project, the works collapse images from around the station with references to Jakarta, Indonesia, exploring the ways that a place can be simultaneously familiar and foreign.

While utilizing Processing (a programming program developed by MIT) and exporting Java applets, a series of programs were interconnected leading up to the final piece. They explor the interactive capabilities that can be utilized through Processing while simultaneously learning the coding language itself and how to make running, workable programs that could be intreging to the viewer.
The first project entailed drawing an object (i.e. the reboot logo from the old tv show) and then adding some base functionality through a left mouse click, hold and release. The next 2 pieces built upon the functionality of the first while encorporating easing functions as well as exploring a sense of randomness.

Mock-up Magazine Art Direction
description
For this project for the art direction class, we had to learn how to work with models, props, cameras, lights and more. We created a magazine spread aimed for teenagers who would want to have an ideal party at their own homes without it getting out of hand.
Creating the atmosphere for the our target audience was very fun to do. The hardest part of the project was adjusting the lights and making the drinks and the food look delicious.
