The Wanderlust carry-on bag for was developed for Blurr, as an addition to their line of products for urban and outdoor enthusiasts. The bag transitions seamlessly from a practical piece of carry-on luggage, to a laptop bag, cosmetics bag, and day bag, as required once the traveler has reached their destination. Processes included, design, model making, specification drawing, pattern making, and prototyping.

AllSet is a jacket designed for people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. This training wearable promotes the formation of new neural pathways for routine movements, in order to facilitate energy conservation. Symptoms of the disease are most often triggered or worsened by fatigue and stress, so reducing these factors makes daily activities easier. The jacket functions as a passive reminder system, promoting certain motions over others. For example, when swiping an access card, it is easier for someone with a limited range of motion to do so with his or her arm extended; however, the natural motion for swiping a card involves bending the elbow, which causes more strain on the arm muscles.

As part of a textile patterning class in my third year, we were assigned to design a blanket applying innovative patterning techniques to create a three dimensional effect on a flat surface. We were also called to draw inspiration from our environment and landscape.

Picnic is a blanket sewn  with an integrated table reminiscent of a tree stump. It reflects the tension of savoring moments of appreciation in our natural environment and the physical marks that we afflict on the same environment, be it permanent alterations such as removing trees or more ephemeral fluorescent markings placed to alert.

The concept emerged as a  synthesis inspired by our impromptu student picnics and visual interventions drawn from my local environment.

The Climbers duffel was co-created with an avid female rock climber.
Reccomendations during the making of this project made it a
very successful design and the bag is being used regularly

This messenger bag was made from an old pvc kayak waterproof
drybag. The Sunbrella was offcuts from a
local yacht canvas fabricator. This Bag is essentially 90% reused
and recycled materials.

PUFFchair is a transformative chair made for Helene Day-Fraser's Structure and Cloth course. Centered around the idea of Hidden/Exposed, PUFFchair has a hidden internal pocket containing an air bladder which can be pulled out and inflated to a huge size.

PUFFchair transforms from an average studio chair to a snooze-inducing cloud.
