    As part of the Emily Carr medical core curriculum, Nicolene McKenzie and Brian Tait created a carrying system for transporting adults with paralysis short distances. The goal is to successfully bring people to places where wheelchairs cannot go, for example down a rocky path to the beach or along a forest trail. This product could be applied to other situations such as emergency response situations, for example, if the elevators are not working in a building that needs to be evacuated.

    A greenhouse for growing leafy greens and herbs in an urban domestic setting. Mesuring 2'x4'x7' the unit is designed to replace or fit into the space of a traditional barbeque.

    The staircase is designed to separate a double height brewery space from the bar space below. This separation allows the brewery to function in the production of beer and spirits during the day, while running tastings, and tours of the brewery facilities on the second floor.     A kinetic floor lamp that functions as both an ambient light and a task lamp. Prototyped in Beech and aluminum and illuminated with LEDs, the lamps kinentic motion is ment to emulate the removal of wood much like the action of a handplane or spoke shave. In its closed position the bent glue laminated back is illiminated from LED's subset in the post. When the user needs a task lamp they simply slide the collar up and the task lamp protrudes while automatically switching electronic function....

    Designed to be injection moulded, an ergonomic re-design of a Logan Blade holder. The handle is aimed at supporting the wrist in a straight position while cutting by offsetting at a 22.5 degree angle. The holder hopes to reduce repetitive strain injury common when using traditional holders for extended periods.
