    This is a poster I made for the North Sea Jazz Festival art poster competition. It's an annual kind of a thing in the city of Rotterdam and it tends to attract some of the biggest names in Jazz. The most recent event saw the likes of Snoop Dogg perform and attend. My poster here was selected 9th overall during the competition and while it didn't make the winner circle (and the cash prize that was awaiting) it was still a success as far as I'm concerned.

    This project was initiated in my Advanced Print Publications class. It saw us be assigned a random charity and in response, we were tasked with creating some sort of promotional material for it.

    Mine was Shark Savers, an organization that focuses on protecting sharks from over-fishing caused by the enormous demand for shark fin soup. I chose to illustrate this into a graphic novel because of the violent nature of the content. It would allow me to at least soften the blow, while not...

    This began as a cover design for the publication, Rotterdam 2057. That publication was about trying to imagine what the world would look like in the year 2057 and was largely based on vague data sets and personal beliefs. Therefore, the visual style I developed for it was equally so. Using ink blotches as inspiration, I created an image that can be interpreted in a variety of different ways - an emulation of how we can perceive the future as either a nightmare or a dream.
