Jim Phillips Commemorative Stamp
description
We were asked to create a stamp set in tribute to a graphic designer of our choosing. Jim Phillips of Santa Cruz is a huge influence and inspiration to my art and design. In this Canadiana winter version of Jim Phillips icons the Screeming Hand is now a frost bitten glove, and Slasher is transformed in to a beaver on a canoe paddle. The screeming glove always reminds me of the time I shattered my forearm snowboarding at Lake Lousie.
Clean Hands for Health
description
Research project involving development of co-creation techniques. The motive was to increase hand washing compliancy within hospital staff. Our solution was to install large (8'x4') pillars in hospital entrances that foot traffic, both hospital staff and visitors, would have to navigate. On the pillars is a pledge to wash one's hands each time they come into contact with a patient, as well as when entering and exiting the hospital. Passers by would sign the pillar with a whiteboard marker, providing visual encouragement to all who follow.
Further encouragement was provided by hospital gowns featuring an illustration of a hand sanitizer dispenser, the Microsan logo replaced by our slogan, "Every Time".
