Lululemon’s innovative Lab retail store wanted to install eye catching window displays for the 2010 Olympics. Emily Carr was approached, and a team of students were tasked with creating and installing four window displays.

A research-based project done in collaboration with Lululemon Athletica and SafetyLab. This project focused on awareness of body position during the dynamic practice of yoga, and use as a teacher-learner tool in the studio. The contrasting strips of material on the shirt give clarity to angles and twists in the body during yoga, and design details such as the high collar and glove-like thumb holes help anchor the garment while being worn.

ECU was approached by Lululemon to design a window display for them than captures the essence of the Olympic spirit. We had just three weeks to come up with and install a series of different designs that would change every few days througout the Olympic games.
