Jim Breukelman - Richmond Art Gallery
Photographer Jim Breukelman, (retired Associate Professor), debuts a new body of work Between Hope and Politics: Photographs of the PacifiCat Project at the Richmond Art Gallery.

"Search Engine" at Esplanade Art Gallery, 2007 and Bau-Xi Gallery, 2008
"Search Engine" which was first exhibited at the Esplanade Art Gallery, Medicine Hat, in 2007, is now opening at Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver Saturday Jan 12, (reception 2pm-4pm,) and runs until January 26, 2008. Deborah Koenker Exhibited Work
ECI associate professor Deborah Koenker exhibited new work in September at Rio Hondo College, Whittier, Calif. concurrently with the installation Las Desaparecidas/Missing at Chapman University, Orange, California (September), also shown at Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon (November); it is scheduled for exhibition in June 2008 at the Richmond Art Gallery, Richmond, B.C. Her writing has been published this Fall in West Coast Line magazine and in Craft Perception and Practice Volume III, to be launched in December.
Graphex '08
Hosted by the BC Chapter of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC/BC), GRAPHEX ‘08, showcases the best cultural, social and business communications in Canada. At this year’s event, Sam Carter, current ECI faculty, and Marian Bantjes, sessional faculty, are among seven of the world’s most influential authorities on communication design who will be presented at “An Evening with the Judges” in which, a debate on the merits of design, “cause and effect” will be the panel topic of debate.

Assistant professor Julie York (97), has an exhibition at Perimeter Gallery, Chicago, October 19 - November 24, 2007.
The Perimeter Gallery is located in Chicago and exhibits contemporary painting, sculpture, and works on paper by emerging and established mid-career artists, as well as master works in ceramic and fiber art.

A440Hz - A New Artistic Practice - Celia King
Celia King, sessional faculty member, is co curator of A440Hz Electromagnetic Explorations, a collaboration engaging media and visual artists, musicians and performers. This new artistic practice investigating theoretical physics is founded on the A440Hz artists' book, created for the project. New Forms Festival '07 invited A440Hz for the Arts Residency. The Visual Arts Exhibition is open to October 20 at A440Hz Gallery, with Music & Performance Installation Saturday Sept 29.
The Canada Line Project - Marian Penner Bancroft
Associate Professor Marian Bancroft's recent work, 'Root System, Pipeline Road, Stanley Park 2007', debuts as part of the Canada Line Project's series of commissioned public art installations by nationally and internationally recognized artists.
