Catriona Jeffries Gallery presents the forthcoming exhibition of work by Roy Kiyooka, Damian Moppett (alumni and part-time faculty), Jerry Pethick and Ian Wallace (former faculty). Process as Work presents a significant body of work by each artist, calling attention to the unique working processes that mark their practices. The work in this exhibition is representative of the four artists' commitment to continuous and rigorous production and their constant manipulation of ideas, often through serial works.

Charles Dobson - Earth Alive Film Festival

The One Earth Initiative and the David Suzuki Foundation have partnered with the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre to launch the Earth Alive Series of sustainability films.

The series will be hosted by Charles Dobson, Associate Professor at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and Director of popular education for the New City Institute.

Sound Thinking: Conversations on Audio Art - Surrey Art Gallery

Kenneth Newby, Sessional Faculty, will be featured in the first panel of Sound Thinking: Conversations on Audio Art. The Surrey Art Gallery will be hosting this symposium which aims to develop the existing community of sound-based artists with a day on dialogue. The symposium offers entertaining and educational exchanges with practicing artists who share reflections on their different perspectives.

Ballet BC is pleased to announce the World Premiere of Artistic Director, John Alleyne's latest creation, The Four Seasons. This beautiful, lyrical and compelling work takes place from February 14-16, 2008. The Four Seasons includes the ground-breaking work of installation artist, Alan Storey (Sessional Faculty) and visual artist Tiko Kerr will be painting live on stage each performance.

Sessional faculty member, Kenneth Newby, and collaborators Aleksandra Dulic and Martin Gotfrit (Computational Poetics) have a major exhibition at the Beall Center for Art & Technology in Irvine, California. The work, in a thousand drops... refracted glances, is an interactive audio visual installation work featuring an animated mosaic of projections of approximately 100 persons on a curtain of 110 suspended screens.

The second in a series curated by Micah Lexier, this exhibition showcases the work of Stephen Andrews, Charles Goldman and Ingrid Koenig (Associate Professor). The For Example exhibitions are presented in three identical, custom-built vitrines. The exhibit runs from January 5 to March 16, 2008, at the MSVU Art Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
