Type Specimen Book
This third year assignment was about understanding the history of type design. The ten page saddle stapled booklet features three significant typefaces from different historical periods. Each spread in the booklet uses the typographic style of the period that the historical font originated in.The book states historical information about the typeface, and each spread presents the typeface in a historically appropriate manner that reflects how the type would have been used when it was first designed. The typefaces presented in my book includes Caslon, Didot, and Futura.
