The White Elephant
description
This is an installation proposal for Pacific Centre in Vancouver, BC. The concept is based on an English idiom, “Elephant in the room" which is an expression referring to an awkward social situation or taboo subject that is common knowledge but nobody wants to discuss or engage with.
The application for this project has been successful and will go ahead in May 2011. In the beginning, a white crate will be installed to create curiosity and anticipation. The exhibit consists of an abstracted elephant sculpture which plays back previously recorded "Elephant in the room" stories generated by an online community.

Party Panic: Teen Magazine Feature
description
The art direction for the Teen Magazine spread mock-up involved organizing models, lighting, staging props, food, and the final layout and design. Our feature concept was to create a 'party disaster' opening spread and use the remanding space to educate a tween about how to plan and organize to keep your sanity while planning a teen party.
Foxhunt Vintage
description
Foxhunt Vintage is Vancouver-based online vintage store that distributes its clothing all over the world. This lookbook was created for the Fall 2009 season. Not only was I given the job to create the print edition of the lookbook, but I was also given the freedom to art direct and photograph all the models and clothing featured alongside owner, Jennifer Cook. Shot at VanTech Highschool, the concept was to create a grunge, mid 80’s/early 90’s aesthetic in order to connotate a “back-to-school” theme.

Fall Into Colour
description
These spreads are based off of a publication similar to the Australian magazine, “Frankie.” Like the inspiration publication, this magazine is geared towards a slightly alternative and yet, still relatively mainstream audience who is interested in fashion, but also interested in art and culture.
The art directed story of this spread is based on “the bounty of the harvest.” We took the colors I found in the bounty of the fall harvest and incorporated them into the fall fashion color palette.
Our job was to art direct and shoot the photographic content for the publication and lay it out onto spreads, which would appeal to a target audience similar to that of “Frankie” magazine.
