A lunch container that takes a bit of nostalgic, elegant lifestyle and makes it practical for everyday use.
Users: the Lolita fashion community is a group of young women who aspire to live like a Victorian lady or Marie Antoinette. Lolita fashion is feminine, nostalgic, and luxurious.Lolitas are primarily high school students who bring their lunch to school using cheap, ugly plasticware. This lunchbox provides a beautiful and sustainable alternative to disposable plastic containers and fits in with the feminine and nostalgic look of Lolita fashion.
Crochet Tile

Created as both a space divider and wall treatment, this tile is versatile in its applications. Each tile contains uniform holes on each point and is therefore able to connect via a simple dowel support structure. The mold for this tile contains 15 distinct pieces, and was created to achieve right angles, and to remove delicate portions successfully when slipcasting.
Ceramic Bird Feeder

As part of a digital approach to ceramics, the form of this bird feeder was designed entirely with 3D modeling software. With a template produced using laser-cutting technology, the lathe was then used to create the cylindrical plaster form. From there, traditional ceramics practices were used to create the mold, cast, and eventually glaze the final product.
Vampire and Victim

Hand build out of stoneware clay, this sculpture shows two opposing characters (vampire and victim). These faces were manipulated from plaster castes of my face.

Displaced habitats references the form and scale of a piece of firewood. This form is conceived of through digital rendering and machine made cuts into manufactured wood. Through these processes the piece of wood takes on a new machine identity. The piece of firewood is re-presented as an artifact of manufacturing.
Bike Chain Tiles

Wall tile pattern abstractly based on a bicycle drive chain. If magnified, the imperfect worn surface can look quite complex and interesting. Thise tile set mimics that in its surface treatment and imperfection.
The hardest part for me as a designer was trying to not let myself be a perfectionist so I could achieve an authentic "worn" look.
Robbinson Tiling Wall Mugs

Robbinson Tiling Wall mugs are designed with Cafes in mind. Using only standard 1/2" dowels the cups can be hung to cover entire walls and act as interactive interior architecture and as convenient and unobtrusive storage.
Customers may remove a cup from the wall, bring it to the barrista and have it filled over and over again. At the table, the hole in the mug handle may be used to hold a spoon. After use the mugs may be washed and hung back in place to drip dry until the next thirsty customer is ready for a hot beverage.
