Socialism at its finest: ECUAD Library Prints

description

Our class was given the opportunity to 'remix' the ECUAD library guide and request forms. I also took advantage of the opportunity to revisualize the information in the library guide by developing a system of icons. This helped both with collecting information and making the library guide something that communicates information using more than words. I think this demonstrates even the most mundane item can reflect the values of the institution.

A set of posters created for non profit organization Kiva, which specializes in micro-loaning to help entrepreuners in developing countries.

Targeted at students, the primary focus of these posters were to graphically represent our own day to day spendings versus what that money can mean to people in need. To do that, the tagline "Give and Get Back" was created to help further reinforce that you are lending money and will likely get it back.

Brown Bag It - Wildlife Feeding Campaign

description

Fall Grad Project: BROWN BAGGING THE WILDLIFE FEEDING ISSUE.

An information campaign to create awareness of urban wildlife feeding
in our city. Using unconventional print media and distribution tactics
the goal is to disseminate information to the public to create awareness
and alter this undesirable socially accepted behavior.

Problem: The innocent and self satisfying pastime of tossing the neighborhood wildlifea few picnic leftovers has created a behavior passed between succeeding generations. Many well intentioned people do not realize that this simple gesture has lasting consequences beyond the initial gratification.
