Paint Looper

Group InteractiveToy project for Core Design IV. The Lego Mindstorm kit was used to prototype an interactive children's toy. The Kit also introduced our class to sensor technologies and programming languages.
The Paint Looper's actions are triggered by instruments. After a sensor inside the instrument has been activated, a resulting action is triggered (eg. paint is pushed through plastic syringes onto a previously activated spinning canvas).

Research Case Study: Human Centered Design Process

IDEO used this part of my design research to highlight a best practice when it comes to working with users, specifically those who do not speak the same language or share the same technologies. This work allowed for a needs and aspirations assessment prior to designing a solution for a rural village in Rwanda.

Typography-driven film based on "Bluebird" by Charles Bukowski, shot in one uncut and continuous take. Lines from the poem have been integrated into elements/objects in the scene by designers Jennifer Griffiths and Cameron McKague.
