Certificate Programs
Certificate Programs
Continuing Studies offers three different kinds of short-term certificate programs:
- Introductory Certificates in Fine Art Techniques, 2D Design Basics, 3D Design Basics, and Photography are comprised of Continuing Studies courses designed to give you the skills and insight to meet the challenges of further study, or to apply specific knowledge to your career. These Certificates can be completed on a part-time, flexible basis in under three years.
- NEW Advanced Study Certificates in Drawing, Painting, Illustration and Sculpture offer a more in-depth study of a specific medium. The core courses explore foundational studio skills, cultural studies, professional development and individual portfolio support. A key aspect of the Certificate is the final required portfolio course, where students are given one-on-one support towards developing a professional portfolio. These Certificates can be completed on a part-time, flexible basis in under four years.
- The Design Essentials program, offered in partnership with BCIT, which introduces students to the principles and practices of graphic design in a one-year full-time program.
