Receiving Support and Services

The Accessibility Service Coordinator is your central point of reference on disability at Emily Carr University.

If you have a disability, you are invited to confidentially meet one-on-one with the Accessibility Service Coordinator. Reasons why you might meet with the Accessibility Service Coordinator include:

  • Learn about the services available
  • Discuss any personal or academic matters related to your disability
  • Discuss disclosure of a disability
  • Organize accommodations
  • Locate note takers, tutors, scribes or readers

In order to receive support and service, you are required to provide verification of disability documentation and register with the Accessibility Service Office.

The policy regarding students with disabilities at Emily Carr is one of self-advocacy. Emily Carr recognizes that some students have disabilities and that accommodations must be made to meet the needs of these students, upon disclosure.
