Exploration of 3D Design (CEID 121)

This course familiarizes you with the principles of three-dimensional design, as well as a variety of materials and processes related to art and design. Technical and conceptual skills in applying the concepts of space, mass, contrast, balance, scale and surface will be developed. You will create both functional and sculptural objects through projects that explore 3D concepts, forms and materials. The emphasis will be on problem solving and imaginative and experimental responses to proposed projects.

Instructional Hours: 24 hours (8 classes, 3 hours per class)

Additional Hours: up to 24 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.
