Studio Lighting (CEPH 201)
This course explores the aesthetic, narrative and creative possibilities of photographic lighting. You will be encouraged to expand the conceptual boundaries of your work through experimenting with studio lighting and flash. A variety of techniques and exercises will include studio workshops and independent projects, alongside lectures and discussions. You will be exposed to contemporary and historical practices that further experiment with lighting in photography. This course provides a solid foundation in technical skills while introducing you to the creative potential of photographic lighting.
Course Format
This course is offered on campus.
Instructional Hours: 24 hours (6 classes, 4 hours per class)
Additional Hours: 12 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.

- CEPH 100 Introductory Digital Photography is required
