Contemporary Painting (CEPN 210)
This unique painting course combines studio time with seminar-style discussion to expand students’ understanding of and relationship with contemporary painting. Students will further develop their painting skills through exercises and projects that question and experiment with traditional painting approaches and techniques. Alongside active studio work, students will begin to locate their own practice within broader themes by examining diverse contemporary painters and exploring current painting discourses.

Instructional Hours: 24 hours (8 classes, 3 hours per class)
Additional Hours: 24 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.

- Any 100-level CEPN course and CESE 102 Contemporary Critical Theory are required
