Vancouver Public Art (CESE 010)

From iconic installations to lesser-known local gems, discover Vancouver’s diverse and exciting public art works. Gain insight into the role of public art within society and community, discover new sites, rediscover favorite long-time installations, and participate in discussions about space and place-making in Vancouver neighborhoods. Learn the story behind these captivating pieces, their relationship to the community, and the impact of art in the public realm. Led by a local artist and educator, this course offers self-guided or small-group audio/visual tours, alongside virtual discussions.

Course Formats

Instructional Hours: 12 hours (4 classes, 3 hours per class)

Additional Hours: up to 12 hours for independent study and practice, assignment completion and homework.
