Whatever your creative path, you can follow it at Emily Carr University.

The only university in British Columbia dedicated solely to art, media, and design, we offer diverse and exciting programs for undergraduate, graduate and continuing studies.

Undergraduate Programs

We offer three bachelor's degrees: Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Media Arts.

All of our degrees begin with a Foundation year. For some majors, we also offer an Accelerated Summer Foundation.

You will receive a bachelor’s degree with a specific major when you graduate. In addition to your major, you are also able to graduate with a minor.

A major in Visual Arts allows for exploration across multiple visual arts disciplines.

Students can also select courses from ECU's unique course tracks as a complement to their major, allowing them to explore, experiment and collaborate in areas that may be outside their chosen degree.
